Village Secures Favorable Pricing through Electric Aggregation Program

The Village, through participation in the Will County Governmental League's electric aggregation program, has been able to secure a one-year contract with Dynegy Energy for its energy supply. The cost of the supplied energy will be 7.190 cents/kWh, which will be effective starting in October and through the duration of the agreement. This rate is below the expected ComEd electricity supply rate plus the Renewable Portfolio Standard fee for October, which is also expected to increase in May. Letters regarding this new agreement have been delivered to eligible Woodridge residents and contain information for those seeking to opt out of the program.
