According to Mayor Murphy, "It is important to our community for Woodridge residents, local business representatives and community groups to participate in the public process as we plan for the Community's future." • February 2006
  HNTB interviewed a selection of Woodridge community stakeholders including those from the business community, community organizations and government officials.
• March 7, 2006 - Community Workshop
  Together with the Village staff, the Steering Committee will hold a series of four meetings during 2006 to obtain public input. The Steering Committee held its first public meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2006. The workshop focus sought views on local concerns, issues, and opportunities.
• March - April 2006
  A community survey was distributed to a random sample of Woodridge residents.

• August 14, 2006 - Community Open House
  The Steering Committee held a second community meeting in an open house format to allow residents to review, ask questions and comment on the draft community goals and draft land use maps. These materials were developed through the feedback received from the first community meeting and the community survey.
