The Village has established a nine-member Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee to help guide the update process. Committee members represent a cross section of the community, including homeowners, businesses, developers and various community organizations. Together with the Village staff, the Steering Committee will hold a series of four meetings during 2006 to obtain public input. The Committee will also be responsible for reviewing and commenting on draft Plan documents.

The Steering Committee held its first public meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2006, at 7:00 pm. It was a workshop seeking views on local concerns, issues, and opportunities. On July 18th, the Steering Committee will hold a second community forum to discuss the draft community goals and objectives and future land use concepts. These were developed based on research conducted to date and community feedback obtained at the first community meeting and the results of a survey mailed to a random sample of community residents. These materials will be posted on this web site prior to July's meeting.
