Trustee McManus was elected to the board in 2007. He grew up on the southwest side of Chicago with his three brothers and three sisters. He graduated as a commissioned officer from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY, and served on active duty as an armor (M1A1 tank) officer, and in the Illinois Army National Guard as an infantry officer. While in the National Guard he commanded a company of 79 soldiers. He has worked in the medical products industry for approximately 10 years in various capacities, including sales, finance and sales operations. He earned a master of business administration degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University while working full time.
He and his wife moved to Woodridge in 2004, they have four children.
