See the DuPage County Recycling Guide for information on electronics recycling and information on specialty items including appliances.  Appliances with liquids or refrigerants will not be accepted.

Residential electronics can be dropped off at the following locations at no charge.  Be sure to check with each location before bringing your electronics as  guidelines & accepted items can vary.


Refrigerator / Freezer Recycling
Com Ed will pay you $35 for your old working fridge or freezer. They will pick it up and recycle it. For details, visit the website or call 888-806-2273.

Will County Offering Recycling Pick-Up Service

Will County offers residential electronic recycling pick-up services through convenient, front-door collection service for residents in a large portion of Will County. To schedule a pick-up from your front door, please contact Vintage Tech Recyclers by email, or by calling (630) 305-0922, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is a flat fee of $25.00 to schedule a pick up and a limit of 10 large items per pick up.

Items can be dropped off for free at:
Bolingbrook Public Works Department
(North side of building)
299 Canterbury Ln

Hours:

Monday - Friday
7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Permanent DuPage County Recycling Sites
No hazardous waste is accepted at any collection site. In addition to the listed free drop off locations, many municipalities host one-day collection events. Events are posted on the county's website.

Additional Recycling Location
The Annex Building, 123 North Rosedale Road, Bloomingdale. Drop off your recyclables the first Saturday of the month, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Tip: when calling a municipality for information, keep in mind the office is not open on weekends. The numbers listed are to office phones and not to phones at the collection site.
