Street Lights
Streetlight Outages
In an effort to keep the roads and our community safe and well-lit, the Public Works Department routinely conducts visual surveys to locate streetlights that are out of service. The department also relies on residents to report any outages so repairs can be made in a timely manner. Should you need to report any problems with a streetlight, please call Public Works at 630-719-4753.

Streetlight Enhancement Resident Village Participation (S.E.R.V.) Program
In response to resident requests, the Village Board recently approved the Streetlight Enhancement Resident Village Participation (S.E.R.V.) program. Under this program, residents may request additional street lighting in their neighborhoods with the village and residents each paying 50% of the cost.

The resident portion would be divided equally among all residents who enter an agreement for a specific streetlight location, and payments could be made over a four-year period. Shared costs would include all materials, installation and associated fees. Once installed, the village would be responsible for the costs of operating and maintaining the lights. For specific details on the program or to request a streetlight application packet, please contact the Public Works Department at 630-719-4753.
