Utility Billing Changes Are Here!

Changes to our water billing services have arrived. Your water bill is issued in a new format and the Village unveiled a new Citizen Self Service Portal.

What do these changes mean to me?

Online Bill Pay Users:

The Village's new Citizen Self Service Portal is now up and running. Instructions on navigating the Citizen Self Service Portal are available on website.

  • One Time Payments: You may make a one time payment with a credit card through the Citizen Self Service Portal. Instructions on how to make a payment is available on the portal.
  • Recurring Payments: Currently, recurring payments for credit card customers is not supported through the new Citizen Self Service Portal; however, customers can enroll in recurring payment with their checking account information. The recurring option is available in person (see below). If you would like to pay with a credit card, this option is allowed via walk-in, or as a one time payment (see above).

Other Payment Options

Mail/Dropbox/Walk-in Customers: You will have a newly designed bill, but no other changes.  We encourage you to register for an account and explore the new Citizen Self Service Portal. If you’ve been considering an automated payment option, this might be the perfect time to make the move!

Note: When paying by check, you authorize the Village of Woodridge to convert the check into an electronic funds transfer.  Please be aware that your bank account may be debited as soon as the same day we receive your payment

Online Banking Customers: If you are a customer who pays through their bank’s website or smartphone app, you may need to update your payee information with a Customer Identification Number (CID). This is currently the set of numbers following the dash on your account number.  This information will be on your new bill and further instructions will be provided.

Customers Enrolled in Auto Pay (not through Click2Gov
):  These are customers that have signed up to have funds withdrawn from their checking account by coming into the Village and filling out a Direct Debit Application.  If you have enrolled in autopay through this method there is nothing you need to do.  Your banking information will be transferred to the new system.

Water Reconnection Procedures

Once an account has been scheduled for disconnection a $60.00 administrative fee is charged.

In order to avoid disconnection of services, or to restore services that have been disconnected, this fee and all past due amounts must be paid in full.
