Building Permit Overview
Obtaining Building Permits

The Village is able to offer same day service on certain permits (e.g. roof, patio, fence, driveway) provided that the items noted in the required application are provided. Other residential permits may take up to two weeks to process. Commercial and industrial permits may take three to four weeks to process.

Major residential projects (including new single family homes, basement finishes, additions, remodels and three-season rooms) and major commercial projects (including new buildings, remodels, alterations, and additions) require 5 sets of drawings. Plans should be submitted folded and not rolled.
