Police Service
If you need a police officer to respond to your location, dial 9-1-1 for all requested police services.
The Village of Woodridge is served by the enhanced 9-1-1 service, thus allowing fire, police and other emergency services to be dispatched by dialing 9-1-1. Residents are encouraged to register their cell phones with DuPage County's Smart 9-1-1, a free service to allow first responders to have valuable information when an emergency occurs.
Police services are available 24 hours a day, by dialling 9-1-1. The Police Department normal business hours are Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. After business hours the outer lobby of the Police Department is open 24 hours-a-day. If you need to speak with a police officer after business hours, please use the call box in the outer lobby, which will connect you to a dispatcher, who will send a police officer to your location.
Personnel
The Police Department is comprised of 51 sworn officers and 20 non-sworn employees, that are dedicated to providing professional police services.
Annual Report
Each year, the Woodridge Police Department publishes an annual report highlighting yearly activities and enforcement. Both the 2012 and the 2011 Annual Reports are now available for you to view.
Teletype (TTY) Information
The Woodridge Police Department offers special services to hearing impaired individuals with teletypewriter units (TTYs). The TTY is connected to the emergency phone lines and is used to communicate with hearing impaired persons with similar machines. This installation was the result of a public law, which requires a TTY in police facilities throughout Illinois. To identify locations of hearing impaired individuals in Woodridge, the police have established a reference list of those persons who have a TTY within their home. If you have a TTY device and have not notified the police before, or have knowledge of persons in the area who have such a device, please contact 630-719-4740.
