Public Works
The Woodridge Public Works Department is responsible for providing a variety of services, ranging from street repairs to water and sewer system maintenance. Public Works employs 34 full-time staff members and one part-time staff member, as well as additional seasonal part-time staff who all work together to respond to over 800 customer service requests per month.
Public Works - Police Department Building
The department is charged with the repair and maintenance of over 94 center miles, or 228 lane miles, of village streets. These services include:
  • Initiation of new construction
  • Maintenance of street lights and traffic signals
  • Parkway tree care
  • Snow plowing
  • Street sweeping

Public Works provides high quality water and sewer services to approximately 9,500 residences and businesses on a daily basis and delivers over 1 billion gallons of water to customers each year. Services include:
  • Maintaining water and sewer facilities
  • Water meter repairs and installation
  • Water treatment and distribution

After Hours Assistance for Public Works Emergencies
Public Works has emergency staff on call 24 hours a day. Should emergencies such as sewer back-ups or watermain breaks occur after hours, residents should call 911 so DuComm can dispatch a Public Works crew to respond.

The Public Works Department also services and repairs all village vehicles, including Police Department patrol cars.

Questions regarding water service or sewer problems, garbage and recycling collection, street and sidewalk repairs or maintenance, and parkway tree issues should be directed to Public Works at 630-719-4753.
