In 2009, the Village of Woodridge will celebrate its 50th Anniversary and the Woodridge Park District will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. The Anniversary Committee recently conducted a Logo Contest that invited local artists to submit potential logos. Nearly 40 logos were submitted to the contest. All of the submittals depicted the talent of the Woodridge community. The winning logo was revealed last weekend at the Woodridge Jubilee.
The Woodridge community congratulates artist, Pam Sanhamel, on capturing the essence of the anniversary which is a celebration of our community and all of its aspects. We have been building on the dream that began in 1959 with the incorporation of the Village of Woodridge and was widened in 1969 with the birth of the Woodridge Park district. We look forward to the many exciting events that lay ahead in 2009 and the continued growth of the Woodridge community in the years to come.
