  1. Citizen Police Academy - Application Deadline Coming Up

    Interested in learning more about your local police department? Would you like to obtain a working knowledge of practices, policies, and procedures of a top law enforcement agency? The Woodridge Police Department is now accepting applications for the Citizen Police Academy through December 13! The Citizen Police Academy is part of the Woodridge Police Department's Community Outreach Unit, designed to reduce and prevent crime, improve communication, as well as maintain partnerships within our community. The ten-week session is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 with the classes meeting from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Applicants must live, work, or be associated with the Village of Woodridge and be 18 years or older. There is NO COST to anyone who participates in the academy.

  2. Holiday Light Strand Recycling

    For those decorating for the holidays, if you run across a strand that has lost its twinkle, please recycle your lights, extension, phone, and computer cords at the Woodridge Village Hall, 5 Plaza Dr., or Public Works building, 1 Plaza Dr. Bins are now placed and ready for recycling. The Village has partnered with Elgin Recycling to offer this free service to residents. Mini-lights, C7 or C9 lights, rope or LED lights, extension, phone, or computer cords are all eligible for recycling. Please - no CFLs.
