Emergency System Notification

The Woodridge Police Department uses a third-party emergency notification system called CodeRED by OnSolve to send community-wide emergency notifications and relay Village related communication to residents. In order to receive these emergency notifications and Village related communications, residents will be required to Create An Account with CodeRED. You can choose to create your account Online or via the CodeRED Mobile Alert app.

The Code Red system sends telephone calls, text messages, and/or emails to inform residents and help protect life and property. Woodridge selected CodeRED for its reliability and accuracy, as well as the system’s widespread adoption rates across the U.S. No one should automatically assume they are in the emergency contact database. Public safety officials across the United States have credited CodeRED notifications for successfully locating missing children, apprehending wanted criminals, and issuing timely evacuations.

Below is a guide to assist you with creating a CodeRED account. Choose how you would like to create your account and follow the instructions provided.

To create an account through your mobile device:

  1. Click button below to begin registration.
  2. Download IOS or Android App
  3. Click on “Register”
  4. Enter your email address
  5. Enter your phone number
  6. Enter your password and confirm your password
  7. Your settings for notifications will be preset, but you may change these settings and choose additional settings for weather
To create an account through your computer:


  1. Click button below to begin online registration.
  2. You will have the option to “Create an Account” using Google, Facebook or Twitter.
  3. OR you can “Create an Account” by entering a new Username and Password.
  4. Confirm your password and then click on “Continue”.
