State of the Village

2024 State of the village 
The Village welcomed roughly 115 partners from local organizations and businesses at The 2024 Woodridge State of the Village Address on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Seven Bridges Golf Club. This year's State of the Village theme was "Building On Our Dream." The 2024 video feature, which can be viewed below, touches on how four local businesses have built on their dreams in Woodridge and how they continue to do so. 2023 State of the village presentationsAttendees also enjoyed several presentations at this year's address. The Woodridge Park District discussed its new Jubilee Point Park bringing 44 acres of additional open space and recreation to the community. Mayor Gina Cunningham also shared 2023 Village accomplishments, announced our new Woodridge Police Chief, and awarded Woodridge Park District Executive Director, Mike Adams with a Building On Our Dream Award. This prestigious award has only been awarded ten times in the history of Woodridge. Mike Adams received this award for his exemplary contributions to the community and for embodying the community pride and spirit of Woodridge. Mike has dedicated 34 years to serving the community of Woodridge and will be retiring in June of 2024.

Additional presentations included Village of Woodridge Community Development Director, Kimberly Clarke, and the Executive Director of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate, Collete English Dixon. Kimberly spoke to new developments and community development initiatives coming soon to Woodridge, and Collete shared her knowledge on building and sustaining resilient communities.
